May is normally the time we see dandelions and other assorted broadleaf weeds emerge in our Kansas city landscapes. An easy way to treat this problem is with granular Weed & Feed. Apply when grass is slightly damp (morning dew works great) and leave on lawn for at least 48 hours in order to kill weeds. After the 48 hours you should water the lawn. This will wash in the fertilizer and give you a good green up.
Note: Weed and Feed does not contain any pre-emergent so it is only effective on weeds that are already emerged. If you don’t have any broadleaf weeds yet, WAIT to do this step!
