How to Cut Back Ornamental Grasses

Now would be the time to trim back your ornamental grasses. All the browned out foliage has kept the plant warm throughout the winter, but it’s no longer needed. Cut the plant back to about 12” to 18” (depending on the maturity of the grass) from the ground. You will then see new growth emerge pretty quickly in your landscape.
